The past few weeks have been busy with kids activities and preparing for the holidays. Not a lot of home projects have been done but I have enjoyed the slower pace that leads up to Thanksgiving.
How often are we trying to come up with cute presents for teachers, postal carriers, cleaning ladies and other special people in our life. A little something just to say thank you; that won’t break the bank but still looks well presented.
I found this idea on pinterest. It is very simple and adorable.
I downloaded a free printable, used double stick tape to adhere the gift card to the printable and embellished the card. I had some cardboard sleeves from Starbucks from when they give me a handful of the pink ones used during breast cancer awareness. I then turned them inside out ( yes unfortunately they are date stamped in the center) and stapled them to the printable. Next, I used bakers twine I already owned to adorn a cute little bow. Six presents for 6 people for $60 including all the materials.
The original idea that inspired mine can be credited to, eighteen25
She offers great instructions as well as a free download to print off at home.
Pinterest is full of pictures using this clever idea, some are for sale while others offer free printables. There are a few that offer the template in different colors. I wanted a softer green since mine were for Thanksgiving gifts so I used one of the eight templates offered at That’s country living
Here are a few other examples found on Pinterest.
Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving- stay tuned for Christmas tree decorating craziness.
