I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on family pictures and art; what you hang where. I have pictures of my kids on all my built-ins. They also have their own pictures right outside their rooms in the halls sort of like a name plate stating that you are entering their area. In the main area of the house and in our bedroom I have other forms of art. My husband and I met and fell in love while he was at the Naval Academy, and I lived near Annapolis so most of our art is of Historical Annapolis. Annapolis is still my favorite water town with Charleston, SC a close second.
Something I read long ago mentioned that you shouldn’t have pictures of your kids in your bedroom. I am not sure if it is for romantic reasons, feng shui or just an old decorating rule but the OCD in me said ok no kids in the bedroom- now what.
Have you ever read, If you give a mouse a cookie? my favorite is, If you give a moose a muffin- well that is how I surf and shop the internet. I was on Pinterest looking for ideas for the mudroom space and saw a picture of a 2×4 with hooks on it which is what drew me to the pin, well on that picture had a picture of a key, I liked the picture but wasn’t sure that was what I wanted so I went to the website and found something else that I liked. Personalized city maps and cityscape’s. Well I went from decorating my mudroom to purchasing art for my bedroom.
Well I found out the designer of the above art and the personalized city maps was Jenna Sue Design
She has an abundant amount of cities to choose from and if you don’t see yours listed just ask! She did both Glen Burnie, MD and Newport, RI custom.
The projects are slow on the home-front this week the hot-water heater broke so that had to get replaced, my husband went with a tank-less and while I am sure I will enjoy the hot water I didn’t find this project nearly as exciting as he did. We did finish the coffee station though.
