Well we are 99% unpacked-still waiting for the swing set to arrive from the other house and a few odds and ends in the garage but we are pretty settled. I went around and took pictures to give a virtual nickel tour. The windows are still naked on the back half of the house, at some point plantation shutters will go in but we are so far removed from our nearest neighbors it hasn’t been a needed expense yet.
The house is a little mismatched with some rooms decorated for Halloween while most of the house is just Autumn
Dining Room-As you come in to the right
The Playroom that shall one day be an office 🙂
This was an adventure condensing down from two playrooms to one. I would still like to donate more toys but I have to do it while she is sleeping LOL!
Little H’s Bath
Our room- we haven’t hung any art in here yet-undecided.
The Master Bath-which at some point will be a renovation project…we just aren’t feeling the black tile especially the shower!
The formal living-as you come into the foyer it is straight ahead. For those who have been at our last house it is almost the exact floor plan just a smaller footprint.
The Mudroom Area- Not sure how we are going to do this area yet, we have gone from lockers to a wall rack to built ins to nothing and back again. Right now it is a great spot for all the dogs belongings.
The Laundry room. I ordered a vintage ladder from Etsy as a hanging rack, and a few other decorating ideas, so stay tuned for that transformation.
The Kitchen the only major project left is replacing the sink and the granite on the center Island I still think we are leaning towards recycled glass, and oh yeah picking a backsplash
The inside of one of the pantry doors.
The Breakfast room-future upcoming projects paint the server attach remnant of quartz on top, whitewash the hutch with a driftwood stain. I have ordered a new rug it is the exact one that is also in the family room.
The Family Room
Older H’s room- Stairs leading up, she chose a Postcard theme, wanting to keep all her Paris items from before but adding a few other items. We still have a few things to go up, I love the black and white against the Spa walls. We also still have to paint her desk Old White to match the rest of her furniture. I am not sure what it is about the way I took the pictures that made her furniture look so small, her pieces are ridiculously big and difficult to move.
L’s Room and Rec room area The stairs leading down.
This is as clean as it gets, I have decided to learn to live with the cables, and controllers and general stuff that comes with all the technology a teenager uses. His room is almost done I have some Nautical Flags to Hang up and a canvas of Lord Bodners Octopus . I am thrilled with the Hale Navy walls, so grateful for the 10ft ceilings in the lower level so we could get away with such a dark color. His black sofa is getting replaced with the Ikea Ektorp sleeper sofa in red.
The one thing my Husband requested was to have a Jetson style home alarm system, he wanted to be able to lock and unlock the doors from his phone, set the temperature- the works, with that came cameras, inside and out. Not that anything ever happens in our corner of the world but he wanted to protect those he loved dear. Yes, it covers the entrances but by having the cameras inside he also gets to check in during the day and see us. Yes it is a little stalkerish, and I often wonder if he thinks I am making good use of my time, but I figure if he has time to watch me sneak a squirt of Reddi Whip in my mouth after giving some to the little one, then maybe he isn’t making the best use of his time either. LOL!
We are really loving living on so much property and having our own piece of wooded bliss. We have lots of little projects in the works as we save up to be able to accomplish them but right now we are just enjoying being together and watching the leaves all around us change color and fall.
